This is only Hirshman piece with more than one object serving the same function as it represents – the comb and the scissors. But it does have similarities to several other works – it contains art in art. In the upper left hand corner is a wall collage of a still life in miniature. There are some wonderful little touches, such as the girl’s eyes – despite being a pair, each is different. And note the flea escaping from the comb.
