“Glutton” – (no year given))

The forked sardine, happily awaiting a trip through the tunnel of the “Glutton”‘s mouth to his gullet, and the two fishy relatives upon the heap of chow in line for consumption are Hirshman-made, as was most of the food piled up.

According to a story he told, when as a poor child he was hungry, he would sometimes draw pictures of food to satiate his appetite.

The date of this piece is unknown as the signature and year of creation were covered by the photographer. Judging by the style, it was probably made in the late-1970s.
