With his body represented by nothing more than the untouched, original white board, this hunter and his shadow – surprised by a reversal of roles – have become the hunted.

As with many of his pieces, Hirshman uses sharp-edged “safety” razor blades – the means of shaving in a bygone era – to great effect for the fleeing man’s hands.
